Flesh Eating Bacteria

Is there is some sort of bacteria that is flesh eating bacteria that a fish can get , kind of like a human can get ??? If anyone would happen to know anything at all . Plz let me know,

Many bacterial infections can be "flesh eating" so to speak. What is the problem? Do you have a fish that is losing flesh? What kind of fish is it? Do you have pictures?

hlle?? what is that , the fish i am talking about was a starfish , but it is dead , it looked as if it was falling apart on its underbelly. Everything else in the tank is doing great stil , Tom. clown. domino damsels crabs snails and scooter blenny.

Yes please do!! HLLE is a very nasty disease... although it doesn't apply here, you will want to prevent it in your fish. Tangs are the most susceptible it seems but not the only ones that can be effected by it.
