I have maxijets in all our tanks and have problems with most of them.
Detroit, where might I find silicone suction cups, I have bought a ton of regular suction cups.
I have come to the decision that when we tear down the tanks, (when we put hardwood floors and remodel the house) I'm going to dry off the spots where the cups go and superglue the suckers in place. It drives me nutts!

Can I ask what you will do for the time the floors are going down? We need to have the hardwoods refinished in the family room and hall and the fish are in the fam room. We have delayed the project because we just don't know what to do for the 3-4 days needed.

lovethesea, it will be alittle easier for us, you see, we will be starting in the living room, painting and either new carpet or hardwood floors in there, not sure witch yet, but currently we don't have any tanks set up in there, after that room is done, the 2-30galloons we have will be moved out of the dinning room in there, then when we finish with the diningroom and the kitchen the 200 gallon(currently in the FR) will be moved into the wall that seperates both room,(I can't wait) then when we are ready to start the FR the 72(it is sitting where we plan on putting a fireplace) that is also in there(fr) will be moved into the living room. Then when the fr is done I will decide if I want to move the 2-30's in there.
I think your best bet would be to get some large rubbermaid buckets, fill them with your tank water and add powerheads to keep the water moving, I'm not sure what you have, f/o or reef, but move fish into one with some of your lr, and if you have corals move them into the second one. I think for a few days you should be ok without filteration. Just move them somewhere where nothing can get into the buckets (chemicals or anything else from your floor redo). We have used this method for two or three hours when we have moved tanks.
You might want to start a thread asking what others think before you start, someone else may have a better idea. Lisa
