Flooding tank

Being new to this hobby Im very concerned about having a flood on my wifes new carpet, could all of you please respond and let me know all of the potential hazards that await me. I will be setting up a 75rr oceanic tank,stand,wood canopy,model 1 oceanic rr sump,model 1 sump plumbing kit,model 1/2 bio chamber(no balls)Sr4 skimmer sump/120gal,mag-drive 7 return pump. Please help prevent a divorce <img src="graemlins//eek.gif" border="0" alt="[eek]" />

my suggestion to u is to make sure there are no obstructions to your overflow. if there is a sponge filter on your stan pipe remove it(we all forget to check to see if its clogged and then its too late FLOOD!)let the water flow freely to your sump.use floss or a filter mat of some kind in your sump to trap the large particles from returning into your tank.secondly i would shut down your power after all is up and running to make sure your sump will handle the overflow.you may have to lower the water in your sump if your overflow is too much.

Thanks for the info 2boyz, also ive heard if there is a power outage and your stand pipe has holes all around, it will syphon all of the overflow chamber water into your sump is this accurate info?
