Yup...love it here! I was outside at 7pm tonight giving my horse a nice bath. I think I've only had the heat on twice this winter so far...A/C the rest of the time.

I need to get down there in a bad way. I allways fish up here in the gulf or off of Big Pine Key. Jupiter area is kinda 1/2 way and do-able for a 1-2 day trip.

What kind of horse? I have cows and goats but my neighbor is totally into paso-fino. They have like 10 over there.

The day bite is hot as well especially in the keys. I personally havent fished for them during the day, I've always caught mine at night. Its really nice during the summer when it is hot as heck during the day to be able to get a swordie at night.

Yep, up here their stomachs seem to have more squid in them, as compared to tinker mackerel that are in the stomachs of keys fish. I do all my own rigging, especially because of the price they get for rigged bait. I started fishing for them about 10 years ago and learned from an old florida cracker, he taught me some amazing stuff. Back then the bite was believed to be down south off of Miami "that 2hr boat ride was a haul, now all of our trips are right of the Palm Beaches. We average one keeper a night, havent been skunked in 14 trips.

Sweet. I have never even tried for them before, but it sounds like good fun. Plus they make tasty steaks.
Whenever I'm "down South" I'm allways trolling for Dolphin, wahoo, tuna,....
I have never really gone after Sails before. Would love to get one but I am a fairly firm believer in catching something I'll eat later. Fuel is a little pricey these days to play for the fun of it.

THAT... Is why I moved here!

I took my bike out for two hours last night, and thought, "There's no way I'd be doing this in Charlotte right now".
Gotta change my profile..

I read more and more about guys catching them in the day. I've seen one hooked during the day and I'm convinced there's not a more beautiful fish. I've never seen a fish "light up" like that jumping sword. I've attempted twice at night but still don't have one under my belt.

Land O lakes, cool. I go through there twice a day to work and back.

so, Tizz, just how did you get this together?? They only way I could do it is if my hubby wasn't tied to a corporate j.o.b. ! If Tampa still had a brewery there, I would be there so fast it would make your head spin.
oh, BTW, I just wrapped up my first driveway clearing with the snow blower!!!!

round 2 tomorrow

I remember touring the brewery at Busch Gardens back in the day. There is a Yuengling brewery right down the street from there now.
oh BTW, what's a snow blower???

Sorry, that was mean.
