My Dad and I are going to the Orange Bowl to watch the Hawkeyes play the Trojans. We are going to have the 3rd and 4th of Jan to do whatever we want. Is there any good Aquariums in the Orlando/Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area? And is Seaworld worth the $50 ticket each, to go to? One day we are going to hit up Disney, and the next we are looking for a place to see some sweet aquaria. Any help, locations, and websites would be awesome.
Thanks and a Happy New Year to all!

If you're coming all the way to the Orange Bowl, which is in Miami, then you should drive down to Key Largo and go to John Pennekamp State Park.

This is the only underwater park in the continental USA where you can actually SEE the reef. You should be able to snorkle [which doesn't require a license] and see the real thing.
Otherwise, SEA WORLD is pretty fantastic and worth the $50bucks. Miami also as Miami Seaquarium, which is just a few miles south of the Orange Bowl.

BTW: There is no way you can "hit" Disney up in only 1 day!! You best pick one of 4 parks they have there, or one of their water parks, then go to that 1 place. Otherwise, you will spend all your time driving from one park to the other, rather than seeing anything.

The Miami Aquarium is great. If you have a chance check it out.

We are doing just the Kingdon. We have done three trips to Disneyworld and disneyland. You need at least 4 days to do all. Thanks for all your advice and ideas!

I live in Daytona. I was very disappointed in Sea World. The shows are good, but the tank displays are not very good at all. The Tampa Seaquarium is good as is the Miami version.

Well sorry to hear you are a badger. But I root for all big ten teams when they are not playing us. Shouldn't you?

Sorry to go OT mmslue, but I am with you on rooting for Big10 teams. The Illini are my team, but I'll cheer for any of them. It was great to see the Badgers pull off the Alamo Bowl victory last night, and it'll be great to see the Illini cut down the nets in the Superdome in March.
