Flow 1inch drain

I'm looking for flow ratings on a 1 inch hole on the back glass used as a drain instead of using an overflow box.

I think max flow for 1" is 600 gph. If you don't get a response here you may try the DIY group.

A 1 inch ID pipe is factory rated for 600 gph but IMO they can handle more. Is the hole in the tank 1 inch or the pipe ?

I want 2 1 inch drains drilled in the top corners. I would like a mag 12 for a return pump.

"Top Corners"...like out the back top corners...????
About half the standard rating of a vertical standpipe and 16" of water pressure...
You will need to go bigger to handle the Mag 12...
