I have a 29 gallon softy and LPS tank that I currently have a single K2 in and am wanting to upgrade. I can get 2 K4's for 85 to the door, whatta ya think?

That would roughly be 103/4 turn over rate hourly.

We're talking about the Koralias right?
I personally wouldn't add 2 #4s. I would try adding another #2. I have 2 #2's in a 38 and I have good flow.
I just think that may be too much, but i could be wrong.

I have heard of 100+ turnover rates before but want to know more. I think that the corals would love it but the 2 clowns and diamond goby may be affected.

I have a 4 and a Nano in my 24ga. LR breaks the flow quite a bit but other than that it seems pretty good. Not sure, what 2 #4's would be like. I personally wouldn't have the room to put 2 in. There is barely enough for 1. :)
At any rate, lots of suspended particulars in the water and with the sump attached it produces a nice surface to skim.

I have like 3 powerheads in my tank (29)...and still have one dead spot...it's too small for me to really care too much, I just routinely suspend the ditritus. I think that more importantly you need a lot of flow dispersal...meaning more powerheads in a tank like that. Instead of getting one big K4, I would go with 2 to 3 twos. I have one koralia 2 and plan on getting another soon. That with a 160gph ph will be enough flow for me.
