Flow rate for wet/dry

Wet/dry's generally have a pretty slow flow rate, the water needs to drip (hence the drip plate) over the bioballs (they should be wet not submerged).
If you want a lot of flow in your tank then do it with powerheads or a closed loop.
What size tank and what size Wet/dry, that makes a big difference on size of return pump.

OK this is what i have right now but i havent set my tank up yet. Its a amiracle sl 250b or 350b doesnt say i have a rio 600 pump but its not strong enough to get the water back up to the tank. I also have a rio 1700 which i was using to test things with. My tank is a 55 gallon. I know the filter is a little bit over kill but the guy sold me everything and that was included from when he had his 125. Its not so much that i want lots of circulation its just one of the pumps he gave me. What would be a good flow rate for this? I cant find a single thing on the internet that gives a suggested flow rate
