flow through bulkhead

im setting up a refugium its around like 5 gallons (all i have room for)
im going to be running it at about 50 gallons per hour just using it for growing chaeto
so i was wondering what size of a bulkhead should i use to gravity drain the fuge back into the sump

Interesting that you bring this up. I am doing the exact same thing today. IM just using a 1" bulkhead i have lying around. The key to getting flow you want is throttling the amount you have going in, with a valve. That way its more responsive if you want more flow later. And btw 5gal is a big deal, its better than no gallons!

yeah sounds just like me i have a 1' bulkhead and the bit to cut the hole
so i was hoping that would be good so i didnt have to buy another bulkhead and bit just for this
