flower pot coral

ok so i got a flower coral or a daisy coral just last week and it hasnt seem to be flowering like i bought it at the lfs. is there something i have to do for it to bring out its tenticles with the flowers at the end. im new att all this coral stuff.

goniopora, flower pots, are pretty hard to keep for some reason. i'm not sure anyone knows the secret.

GREAT LIGHTING IS ESSENTIAL. Different specimens eat more readily than others, but you really needa nutrient rich tank since they are most often found in lagoons. They tend to better in LPS tanks because of the lower flow rate, and LPS tanks tend to be a bit more nutrient rich.

the lighting i have is top of the line. but what do u mean nutrient, is there sum stuff i could put into the tank to be nutrient. call me a noob but what is a LPS tanks

Try low/medium flow (kind of like a breeze) and good lighting. Coral vitamines can be bought locally or on here. I have 2 goniopora's and they are alot happier moving them out of alot of current. Full extension.
