Flower, I want to let you know your Goby (that has yet to be named) looks like he has officially found his new home! The daylights went off and left only the actinics on and once that happened he hasn't been too active... he's been sleeping in the "under ground cave" that I created accidently. Where he is sleeping right now he is able to see outside the tank and take in the great views provided to him of the "dry world"

Just wanted to show you that he's doing well, and looks to be happy (To my knowledge), and I might add has to be exhausted for all the sand sifting he did today!

I am pretty sure mine won't take that long thankfully. It's already opening up, parts have opened up more than others, I can count which ones have opened up and which ones haven't opened up, so that alone tells you that not a great deal have opened. But again, I'm sure either by morning, or Monday it will be opened up (I could be wrong though)! Regardless, I'm very excited and was SO thaknful that Flower was able to give me a little push in the direction I wanted to head in!

HEY SPARTY....we want pictures

I will be home ALL DAY tomorrow (football games) so when the lights flip on, and the fish are swimming around actively. I am SLIGHTLY embarrased about my tank though
... I have A LOT of hair algae that I have yet to remove and it's rather ugly. My g/f came home tonight and said "You added new coral, a new fish, and STILL couldn't remove any of that hair algae?
" She knows I've wanted to remove it so she tries to stay on my case to make me keep my tank up. But I'm always too lazy, and it's not harming anything right now, and it's not growing anymore. It's just hanging out there now. But yes, the pictures I take of it are embarrasing because it makes it look so ugly.

LOL...That is Frankinstien GSP it survives anything. That's why it already is peeking out. A few months ago I put a nickle sized piece on the Pagoda cup skeleton. What I don't understand is that it used to peel up really easy, now it's like concrete on the rocks.
I have pulled it up 5Xs and added the sections to different parts of the tank, now I can't even scrape it loose.

I gave up on gsp, my urchin and decorator crab just adore it, they break it apart and wear it.

What kind of coral do you have in such a tank? IMO a decoator crab doesn't belong in a reef tank and personally I hate those short pinned urchins, they destroy everything, I had one take apart a huge pipe organ coral. I have a diadema urchin that doesn't bother anything. Any critter that destroys my coral finds a new home fast, even if it's a toilet. I will put it in a bucket to try and find it a new home...but stay in my tank it won't.
I still get angry just thinking about that pin cushin urchin and that was 4 years ago...reef safe my eye.
