Newbie hobbyist....have a problem with one of my fluval canisters...currently running 2 404's on my 120 tank and noticed one leaking just where the blue clip locks are. there are two hole in each corner and that's where water is coming from. it was fine until i opened them for cleaning. If you're thinking of the ring seal, it's not coz i already replaced it and did not solve problem. Anyone had similar problem?

I had a similar problem with my fluval (330?) series. I eventually just through it out. It would always start leaking after a cleaning. Sorry I can't help you but I can confirm your leak not being the seal or the o-ring.

Yes, we too had a leak in our 404, We took it to the service center in our LFS, he fixed it. It is the ring seal. We replaced it to and it still leaked after cleaning.

I can't give you a good solution, but can confirm the problem. My 304 was leaking when I first fired it up after not having used it for about a year. I replaced the rubber ring thinking it might have dried and cracked . . . still leaked. Out of frustration I practically shoved the top onto the bottom as the leak was very small. That seemed to work.

The one suggestion I have is that I put mine inside a cheap plastic cat litterbox. Now if there is any future trickle leak it won't cause salt creep on my stand or tile floor.
