Hi everyone,
I just took down our 240 gallon freshwater setup to turn into a new home for our eels. We were using two Fluval 404's on it and i would like to continue using them along with the CSS skimmer. I have the usual media in the fluvals, bio rings and the foam inserts. What media should i leave in or take out. Should i remove the foam pads so they won't be nitrate factories or could i leave them in and just rinse them evey couple of weeks? I mainly want to use the fluval for biological filtration sine i will only have about 70lbs of live rock and i am going to use the 150lbs of Texas Holley Rock that was already used in the previous tank setup.
Thank you
