.......2 Gallon Tank
Fish: Clown Fish, 3/4 inch blue hippo tang
Corals: Nepthea tree, zoanthids, bubble tip anenome, feather duster, frilly mushroom, long tentacle xenia, star polyps
Inverts: Small cleaner shrimp, lots of hermits, emerald crab, small turbo snails
-Live rock / live sand
-No protein skimmer
-Awesome LED light from aqueon evolve 2 w/ blue and white
Question: I have had this tank for about 4 months now, the corals are living, but I don't see them growing. Nothing is dosed to them such as marine snow, but I do feed the anenome with frozen scallops and mysis shrimp.
What am I doing wrong? I do water changes almost every day because of size, but I don't care about that, I still love it.

Tanks not that old, so I'm not surprised that the corals aren't growing that quickly. Keep in mind that it's a small tank, you don't want things to grow all that fast. What salt are you using? That can play a part in it as well.
Please, please, please get that hippo out of there. That tank is really too small for any of the fish you have listed fish.

These pictures aren't up to date, I also have placed the hippo tang in my 90 Gallon. The only problem I have with what you said, is that I took literally EVERYTHING from my well established 90. Rock, filter media, sand, etc. All I have now is the clown fish that is super healthy. i rinse is food with Ro/di water everyday. Water changes weekly, fresh water added daily because the salt stays behind when water evaporates, to keep salinity stable.

I also use E.S.V B-ionic salt with these 3 components A,B,C that it comes with. It is awesome for growing coraline algae, but none really growing in nano.

I looked into that light you have a bit more tonight. While its enough to sustain the corals, it's not going to produce growth at an alarming rate, if at all. I'd be really watching that anemone because that light really isn't enough for it.
