Fog, Anyone?

All I can say is, Wow!
I have never seen anything like this!
It was foggy at around 5 o' clock this morning.. so we had a 2 hour delay for school.
It has gotten even worse!!
We have had fog here all day, and we just keep getting more.
There is no sun, the snow is melting, 50F+, and we are supposed to get rain later tonight (currently on a flash flood warning) This fog isn't going anywhere.
I have only seen 1 ambulance and one EMT vehicle so far, which isn't bad. BUT that was after school got out.
I heard of a car running into a semi on a major highway, and the semi caught fire.
And three of my friends who did not want to drive home took a highway that is now CLOSED due to a 12 car pile-up. I haven't heard anything else, I really hope none of them were in it.
Everyone that drove/rides with someone got called down to the gymnasium and were asked to call their parent/guardian and they had to tell an administrator that it was alright for their child to leave.
I'll post pictures when/if (lol, I hope) I get home.
It just keeps getting worse and worse.
Does anyone else have weird/abnormal weather going on 'where you live'?
Blah. Kinda worried, kinda hyped

while that's weird, this whole winter's been weird. they're calling for a 64 degree day tomorrow and NORMALLY in february we're lucky to get into the upper 20's. hold tight and be happy all you have to worry about is some fog!! a lot of people have seen much worse conditions this year!

i live in lakeland fl. a couple of weeks back we had a 50 car pile up, 5 people died . all together 70 cars were involed with in a 5 mile span of interstate 4..
really bad.

Greeeat.. I recently heard that there were 2 fatalities on a highway well traveled... (By the school, After school) I don't know who was involved yet.
You CANNOT see the next yellow line in the road until you are right there. We were going 20-35 in a 55 zone..
It is now dark, But I took these as soon as I got home..

While that looks bad that is nothing compared to Northern California "Tully Fog"...literally you can't see 20 feet in front of you it is so thick. Fortunatley they only get that a few times a year when the parameters are just right.

I went to college in Fresno, CA. That area has what is called Tule Fog. You are lucky if you can see 100 feet in front of you. When I HAD to drive in it I had two methods. If driving in the city I would do the speed limit and follow the yellow lines in the road. You just hoped that everyone elso was doing the same thing. When I was on the highway I would find a big rig and then back off to the point where I could just see it's brake lights. I always figured if there was something in the roakd I would see it's lights go on as it braked, or else it would plow through and I could follow through.
It seems like once a year they have a 100 car pile up on the highway up there. You could say I do NOT miss that part of living there.
Chris was obvioulsy typing while I was, I just had to help my son with his homework so it took me longer.

We get very dense fog here as well. Whats worse is the drivers that still think they can drive the same in it. Whats even worse are those that dont turn on their head lights.
