I just got home today and found my tank very cloudy. I have not done anything diffrent to it but add a new mushroom coral. I did let the water from the fish store in my tank (by mistake). But would that cause my tank to get cloudy. My filters are from 15 days ago. There really is no reason for the tank to get cloudy. What cause a tank to be cloudy??

lfs water can be terrible, test your water and post your params. you need to do this rather quickly, you may need to do a water change if something is off with our water.

Sounds like a bacteria bloom from excess nutrients. Post parameters and maybe we can help figure out whats going on.

I have somthing else to put in the mix. My girlfriend just feed my fish also last night so they got a doulble of food. I don't really see any on the sand but they may be a cause for the problem too.

Dang, you must have a very acurate nitrate tester, mine only goes in increments of five. What were the fish fed? flakes? frozen? home made? Did you ask her if she accidentally stirred up the sand, maybe she tried to clean the glass or something
