Foil????

My powerhead is making my sand move so i tried to change it position but you cant turn the nozzel because its hard plastic
. So i put the powerhead real low in my tank but i need it to face upward, i need to put something behind it. So i put some foil(and its working great!) behind it and i was wondering if it affects the saltwater anyhow. So far the aluminum foil was has turned into a darker color, so help me somebody!
(if foil is bad for the water then what should i put behind my powerhead?)
THANX!

if i were you i'd take that foil out. it might rust or worse let some metals into your tank that might be harmful.

I would definetly remove the foil, it will break down in your tank not sure how toxic aluminum is to saltwater creatures but IMO it's not worth the risk. What type of powerhead do you have? You should be able to find some nylon washers or something similar at the hardware store that will be safe to use in you tank.
