I am currently feeding my Zebra krill, but know that soon Ill need to feed more or larger food. My question is I was told that walmart has frozen bait shrimp for less than $5, Would this be ok to feed or are there dangers?

i belive that they are ok or you can go the the grocery store and buy bags of frozen un cooked shrimp cheap also. i beleive that zebra's would like a little snail in there diet.

Try some chopped scallop, squid, shrimp, even silversides (frozen lancefish). The bait shrimp should be fine. Rinse them well.

If you have a fresh fish market nearby you can generally get shrimp and squid from there. Most of them sell "bait" squid nd shrimp which starts off as food for people then once it hits it's max time on sale then they repackage it and sell it as bait. I would go that route if you can because the food had better care taken with it. Regular bait shrimp can be something that went a few days w/o any kind of refridgeration.

basically my reason for asking is I was thinking between catching the shrimp myself or buying and to try to figure out which would be cheaper, but I want to try and give the best food that I can
