I just bought a lawnmower blenny, however my QT has no algae in it, should I scrape some from the DT attach it somewhere in the QT? Or will they eat flake or pellet foods as well?

Some (not many) will take prepared foods. You can try to rubberband a piece of nori to a small rock and place it in the tank, or simply put a piece or two of live rock that has algae on it in the QT.

Thanks I added a piece of LR to the QT with alot of hair algae on it for him. Im kind of concerned. He is sitting in the same corner as when I put him in today. He switched directions and is now facing the other way. He is not breathing hard at all so thats good and his eyes move to follow me. Is this normal for them to stay put at 1st?

IME, don't look for the blenny to eat your hair algae. It's not on their main menu. As stated, the behavior is normal.

Then what would be the main menu?

They are more apt to eat the film algae that grows on rocks and glass. Very few will eat hair algae. Unfortunately, a lot of people buy them for this purpose and are disappointed.

Mine was very shy for the first month. I thought he was dead. Then he showed more often and now waits for me to feed the tank. He eats everything now, but I think it's because there's no more algae in there. He's got a nice size belly on him. Took some time, though.

Well days later hes doing even better and he seems to be more comfortable swimming around from place to place in the QT. He is still not eating the Hair Algae, however he is munching on the flim algae on the glass. I can see his lip prints lol.
