food for sfe and dwarf fuzzy

I have been feeding my sfe and dwarf fuzzy frozen krill every other day. (first of all thanks to everyone who gave me the ideas on how to get the dwarf eating!!!!)
I have always heard that fish need a variety of foods.
My lfs is really trying to push the silversides. I have heard many negative comments about this on this board. But I tried anyway, the dwarf didn't want anything to do with it and the sfe spit it back out. I really don't want to try anything live as I'm worried this will cause them to hunt. My two percs and scooter wouldn't like that!
Should I get another alternative or is the krill good enough?

I have heard some people mention getting shrimp and other foods from their supermarket? Is this a possiblity? My lfs doesn't have any shrimp, just krill and silversides.

At the meat/seafood counter at my Albertson's you can get a seafood mix that has squid, octo, crab, and shrimp in it. My SFE goes crazy when I get that stuff for it.
Do not use anything that has already been cooked, that will remove the nutrients your fish need from their food.

Weird...my fuzzy eats silversides but I can't get her to eat krill. I think they develop a taste for whatever you start them on. Sometimes you have to starve them a little too.
I prefer silversides because I can stuff a single pellet of marine food into the silversides mouth to add a little nutrition to the diet.
