food poisoning

i woke up at about 4:00 last night and felt like my stomach had been ripped out. when i got up to tell my mom that i didnt feel good, i threw up.
i then went back to bed because i felt better. then i woke up at about 5:00 and puked again. i now have a low grade fever. we think it is food poisoning. im hungry but nothing sounds edible, soup, oatmeal, popsicles, ive tried them all and they taste horrible. my question is this: do any of you have suggestions on what i could eat? i hate mondays. thanks, have a nice rest of the day.

I got food poisoning once from some bad chinese take out. The only thing that I could keep down was Smoothie King, not really sure why. Hope you feel better.

When my stomach is messed up I nomally do some plain toast or with some penutbutter or chicken noodle soup.You have to force it even know you know the out come it not good to not eat.

From a GI nurse stand point...I always tell my patients to do the BRAT diet for 24-48 hrs. Banana, Rice, Applesauce, Toast,(plain). For nausea you can drink a little bit of peach syrup. Nothing hard to digest no meat, milk or wheat products. Lots of fluid like 7-up,sprite or tea. After 24 hrs slowly add your normal foods back in. Just be carefull not to add to fast you will throw your normal flora off in your stomach and it will cause you to start vomiting all over again. You can also take an over the counter product called a probiotic which helps to add natural flora and will help ease the side effects from the food poisoning.
