when does your bubble expel out the waste, and how to these waste look like?
I feed my bubble krill every week. and it spits out "waste" always at the brightest lighting moment, this bubble's mouth opens up and spits out secretion, spider web substance, and my damsel would just wait on top to eat these secretion. Are these actual waste of krill i put in, or am i having a dying bubble. reason i ask is now that it's expeling out these secretion, and its mouth is wide open. I place it upper mid part of lr, under 67k light, moderate current.
Just curious, your opinion is appreciated. thanks

I've had my bubble for 3 weeks and when it first expelled it's waste I started freaking out. I thought it was the end for him. It's only happened once so if your bubble is doing it every week it might be because of the krill you are feeding it. I don't feed my corals anything except adding plankton at night.

My bubble never does this. i dont feed him anything but the marine snow i put in every other day. seems odd that you have too feed em. my bubble gets huge in the daytime and i dont think you should be feeding him anything because i think he is just spitting up all the krill you put in . ussually their tenticles are out'n about looking for planton. thats really all they need. But you do what you want.

thanks. i have paid more attention and realized it's more than just waste the coral is expelling. the damsel actually picks on the white spits or web like material out of it, but each time the damsel does that, i see the tissue where its mouth opening is getting ripped bigger. now with less light, i see the bubbles are builing up but not covering its mouth as it used to, just hope it's not going to die on me. thanks.

does anyone here feed hammer corals and meat corals? The problem with my meat is that everytime i try to feed it shrimp my gold trip clown steals the food from the tenticles of the meat coral. What do i do? Should i stick the shrimp down the meat corals mouth?

I am not sure of what a meat coral is, but I feed several of my corals regularly. My damn damsels and yellow tang steal what ever they can. The hardest to feed is the open brain because the fish have no trouble stealing from it. I try to put silversides directly on the mouths of the brain and it usually gets to eat a couple. For my 2 bubbles, hammer, frogs spawn, torch, octopus, candy's and elegance I put the food into the tenicles and they figure out how to get it in their mouths. I do not think you absolutly have to feed your corals, but I know that since I have been feeding them they are doing much better! They all open fuller, are more colorful and overall healthier.

I feed my bubble once or twice a week and the next day it expels the waste. Its has grown about 3 times its original expanded size in 4 months.

I feed my bubble squid and brine shrimp once a week, and 24 hrs later (you can almost set your clock by it) he does this. It freked me out at first, but i just accept it as normal now.
he isa bout 2 times bigger than when i bougt it- i was told that if i fed it once a week it would grow faster.
