Ophiura, My LFS recieved a type of Linckia that he has no clue as to what it is called.
He did not order it it just came with his shipment. He will not sell it until he has more info on it.
I told him that I would see if you had a clue.
It looks like a type of Linckia.
Description:
Has a two tone stripe on all of its legs.
Stripes are silver and a dark gray.
The outer edges of the star is pale blue in color.
The underside is pale gray.
Thanks in advance.

OK...
Google:
Phataria
Luidia clathrata
Astropecten articulatus
 we'll start there, though a pic would be very helpful

Thanks for the reply Ophiura. I looked up all of those stars and ita is none of them. It comes of the coast of El Salvador or Ecador(sp.). When I went in today it was on the glass and Jay says that it very rarely goes into the sand.
I tried to get a pic but his lights are too bright. It is a very unique starfish and if my tank was set up and established I would get it. My tank will have 200lbs of rock in it.

I am still a bit stumped. If it is from Ecuador (think Galapagos), Phataria is very common - specifically Phataria unifascialis and Phataria pyramidata.
You've done a google image search on these? Note that the coloration can be pretty variable...
I'll keep thinking

Phataria unifascialis (Gray 1840), the Blue Sea Star. Family Ophidiasteridae. To 7 inches in diameter. Eastern Pacific; Sea of Cortez to Peru and the Galapagos, rocky shores to 50 meters depth. Dorsal surface blue or tan with black pebbled lines, underside orange. Algae feeder. Galapagos pix below.
This is it Ophiura. Thank you for the help. :cheer: :cheer:

Thank you! Yes it is very cool looking and I will let Jay know what it is. Or maybe not that way I can get it when my tank is ready.
