If you aren't familiar with a uniseal already I doubt you'd know about the windex issue! But they are basically like gasket only bulkheads: you stick the pipes through them and the pipes themselves provide the pressure to make the seal watertight.
I order uniseals online, hard to find them in stores (bulkheads in general aren't as common as I'd like, and only overpriced fish stores seem to carry them).
