For Use On Refugiums

is this good for growing chaetomorpha macro algae in a Refugium?
9"Coralife 18 Watt 2x9 Compact Fluoresent Mini Deluxe Light
9" Mini Aqualight includes 9 watt 10,000K daylight and 9 watt True Actinic 03 Blue compact fluorescent lamps. or can you tell me any other cheap lighting to grow chaetomorpha?

Just about any kind of light, given enough hours, will support a refugium. I hav had this unit, and it's good don't get me wrong, however if you use it on your fuge you'll probably want to remove the actinic portion of the light and replace it with the 9 watt daylight. OR, you could put over your refuge a simple NO flourescent set up and save a lot of $$$

I have had this unit aswell good light for fuge with 2 daylight in it only about $10.00 for bulb.
But it get hot may need small fan.
Do not put directly on top of tank

I was asking the size of your tank so that I could recommend a good light fixture for you.
For example, I know of a 24" 65 watt power compact fixture that would work very well. That fixture would cost you $30, plus shipping.

I don't know the exact size until Friday when i pick it up . I will post the size then..
its going to be 13'' wide

I have that exact light except I have the freshwater bulbs (two 6500) for better plant growth. Only thing is I dont have any macro algae yet
