I want one so bad, but not with three dogs, a cat, and a ferret and four kids. They are adorable but I heard they have some real long nails?

It's so weird how things come together....
I read this post again yesterday and saw your wallaby pics, then on the way home from work there was a report on the radio about wallaby sightings here in Central PA. Apparently someone must have gotten one as a pet and it escaped and is roaming through the area near here.
Anyways, just thought I'd share that....your little guy is cute! Oh, and I still really like your tank!

Thanks, my wallaby got loose once. I didn't think we would catch him. He comes in the house, but if outside and scared, I think he would just bolt. We caught him in 2 hrs and probably would have caught him sooner, but was given wrong sighting reports. He actually did jump towards me and i just picked him up and brought him home. It was all over the news for like the next week.

Wow!

I want one too!

When he was inside and you say "potty trained" do you mean you just let him outside like a dog to do his business? Or like a cat with a litter box?
:notsure:
I love how the cat won! As soon as Quigley got bitten by the cat he ran off!

when he lived in the house he would only go in his kennel. Now I have to put a puppy training pad down. He always pees on it but sometimes I'll find his tirds (they are round and hard like rabbit tirds) near the matt, but not on it. Sometimes I think his tail wacks them off when he hops. But he's really good about not going all over the house. It's always on or near the matt. Then I roll it up and throw it out. :cheer:
The picture taken in the brown chair was taken on Thanksgiving. After we pigged out (he loves sweet potatos!) we took the day off and chilled in the chair. He hasnt gotten any bigger than that, and probably won't.

I think my boyfriend now wants a wallaby. He already has a chinchilla, so unconventional pets aren't really anything new in our lives. I told him that if we got a joey that needed to be bottle fed, I'd be happy to quit my job and be a stay-at-home mother!

I had chinchillas. I had my male for 10 yrs before he died. I have a lot of animals. I have a farm. A small farm anyway. I have 2 miniature horses, 2 alpacas, 2 dogs, 2 cats, 12 chickens (some lay green eggs), 2 rabbits (angora and mini rex), the wallaby, a 100 gallon fish pond, a fresh water tank and a salt water tank. I think thats it. I'm getting a miniature jersey in the spring. I can't wait!! I had a full sized jersey for 5 years, but she died after giving birth. I said never again, but oh well. I really miss having a cow, and milking. Anyway.

Cute Wallaby and great tank! I have a question though: your yellow polyps look amazing! How do you care for them (food wise)? I just bought a small frag of them yesterday and noticed that yours look great!

I don't exactly feed them, but they do get food. Sometimes when I feed my fish, the pellets drop and end up in the yellow polyps clutches. I also feed my c.c. mysis shrimp. These to swirl through the water and end up in the yellow polyps. So I guess they do get fed a couple times a week. Other than that, it's just the weekly water changes.
I really like them. I'm thinking about trading the yellow polyp I originally bought. Some spread onto a near by rock, so I figure I'd make room for something else. :joy:
