That pic is at week 1 going 2 weeks now. Yes My bad on the purchase. I bought him along with my elegance that has already went to coral heaven.
When I purchased the 2 of them the LFS told me they are easy keepers. I should have known better but the look of them sold me quick.
I want a good book that is up to date that will help guide me when picking out new corals. Any suggestions?

You can always ask here first. Most would have said the same about the elegance too.

If I were you id use my bonitaness and shove that coral back into their fish tank while getting store credit in the process :)
I completely hate liars/unknowledgeable people who say things not knowing the facts. a Sales position will do that to you

Bonita, mine lasted 18 months and 2 years. Both were in perfect health until the end. Mine liked a shelf directly under a 250 watt MH maybe 12" below the surface. They got huge. I could see them feed when I used frozen cyclops eze and frozen plankton. At the end one was worried to death by a pair of clowns hosting it, and the other did the same thing; just quit extending polyps from the bottom side up and tissue then dissappeard. Good luck, the only long term success I have seen is a gentleman keeping them in a sump refugium! Also red is said to be the hardiest.
