A pic would really help, but I'm gonna assume it's aiptasia. Most LFS will not let a good anemone go for free.

If it is green it might be a majano anemone. Do a search and compair pics. Ift is possible it could be something else. I have a small GBTA growing tha twas a hitchhiker. Hopefully that is what it is. Majanos usually have red/orange centers, at least the ones I have seen. They come in different colors. Some like them, some don't. I don't know anything one way or the other about them.

also whilst taking pics of the anemo we found another hitch hicker!
it's a feather duster worm.

hes so small too hes about the size of my new borns finger but im well happy i baught the most tinyest piece of rock in the coral tank that they have hehehe.
from what i can see the other pieces of rock didn't have any hitch hikers but both seem to be happy as i piced up the rock tho i did allmost press on the anemo but it retract iside its self and i was wow'ed by her.
yeah il give it a name soon once i moved house.

Don't bother taking it out of the water, all you will get is a picture of a wet rock with what looks like a booger on it :)

Can you try moving the rock it's on closer to the glass?
Or does your camera have a macro setting? (usually a little picture of a flower)?
Try taking the pic from a little farther away and cropping down?
I think there are more tips in a sticky in the photography thread :)

yeah it has that flower symbol.
i'll try that now.
also just a little update it's grown about 20% the size it was yesterday and has more tenticals.
it's now gone see through body very green tenticals.
it's very exciting tho for me.
also i'm moving house this weekend hopfully the little critter will be ok but i wont be able to see or update the photo's or how's she's doing.
best part is theres over 10 ppl going to help me move tank and equipment to keep tank at it's best and not lose anything the travel time is one minute drain time will take about 10 min's and pouring back the water will take 2 minutes as i'm keping my water in buckets.
quick move and boom back on the go.
lets hope all goes well on that.
only 2-3days left to move!

well i'm a few months on with having my little tyke n hes growing nicly i've not fed him but im gussing hes eating micro bact n plankton.
hes not see through no more niether hes got a pure white/green tinge body now.
he was horribly burnt on a few tenticals when he moved as lights are not for my temp tank. (bit too powerfull he got to close to suface with the rocks)
but he moved back down 2-3days ago n is starting to look good.
he still has a few burns but rest of tenticals are green.
hes a bit larger too but i'm waiting till he gets even larger to take a better pic but ill try today once i get back from shopping.. (oh they joy
)
clows seem to be near him too wich they like 5x the size of him but they dont go too close to him.
but hes doing good.
hes called hitch now.
due to main reason hes a hiker!
but hes made me happy let hope he dont croak

Did you ever find out what it was? It looks exactly like something we have and we've been trying to figure out what it is.

tis an Orange Ball anemone. And no they generally dont like light. Google for the scientific if you feel geeky about it.
my two cents

So far, Psudocorynactis looks the most like what I have. I've found this same thing in other posts. Some think it's Caribean Mushroom, Orange Ball Anemone, and even a Spaghetti worm. The ones in my tank are too small to take pics of but they are reproducing very rapidly. They don't seem to be harming anything and my peppermint shrimp isn't eating them so I assume their not some type of aiptasia. If you could see just the part that attaches to the rock (I don't know what it's called) you would think it was an aiptasia, but it has clear tentacles (or whatever their called) with little white ball tips. Is it good? Should I keep it?
