Well my LFS has a used 180g tank and canopy, and stand for 750. Is that a good deal? I am going to see it tommorow hopefully. So I wil update on its condition. But there is also a brand new 125 with stand and canopy for 700. So I am just wondering if this is a good price or not. Thanks!

Ha, well He is selling the tank alone for 350. So I am going to buy that I think, and make my own stand/canopy. So if anyone has some detailed instructions on how to build a stand/canopy, would be greatyl appreciated. I also looked at the 200g DIY thread, and he doesnt tell much about how to build the stand. So anyone know a good thread? With details?

Also, I know this is off topic... but I am going to get an ASM skimmer. Which would you reccomend for a 180g tank (G1, G2, G3, G4)? Obviously the G4 is too much. The G3 is alot also. So is the G2 OK? or should I get the G3?
EDIT: I am getting the G3 I think. Now, is the Aquatic Micro Ball Valve for airline tubing OK for this skimmer? Or does it come with something to regulate airflow?

They both sound like a good deal to me, as long as they're NOT scratched up. Im assuming they are glass? If they're acrylic then even better!

acrylic lets in more light and is lighter but glass is harder to break while acrylic is easier to scratch so more caution must be taken while handling with decor, live rock, and others. but the scatches can be fixed

They both have their benefits but acrylic is generally more expen$ive.

i am going with the G3 for my 125 so i think you should do the G3 also or maybe even the G4. are you planning a reef? if so i would look at the G3, just my opinion, maybe someone with more experience should chime in though?

$500 for a 180 new tank from my LFS no stand though. So depending on what kind of stand I guess that's a decent price. I would try to talk them down a little though, What's the worst that can happen, they say no.
