So I'm wiping down the front of my tank. I have two little girls who just love to leave finger prints on it. So I see this blob on the front of the tank. I attempt to wipe it off, when I realize that it is inside the tank. It is maybe 5/16 " wide. I take a closer look and realize that it looks like a small starfish. I couldn't really tell though. I watch it for a few minutes and realize that it is moving, so it has to be alive. Finally it makes its way down to the sand and slowly moves along the sand. It looks like a miniature sand shifter but it has what appears could be six arms instead of five. Three of them are formed, another is stubby and another appears to be two arms in one. The only way it could have got in there is on my live rock. I hope my fiddler crab or nothing else decides to make a meal out of it

Yea Salty, thats what it looks like although a lot smaller. It also does not have the nubs like the one in your pic. I guess that comes with age?

The pic is somewhat enlarged. :D
The star in question drops legs to reproduce, it then regrows new ones, hence the stubby look.
