Interesting tale about Peppermints. Bought 3 to do their work in a 75g which they did - took 2 weeks for all glass hydroids to be eaten and they {the shrimp} grew to a huge size within this time. Since the tank is fed nothing other than DT's oyster eggs 3 times a week (the fish graze off the live rock exclusively), the shrimp went commando and started feasting on a rather large colony of zoos. After 3 days the colony was almost half gone, so a 4" "coney grouper" was introduced who sadly immediately ate a 3" Yellow Spotted Watchman Goby. After that, it took the grouper a few days to close in on two of the offenders, then coming home and finding the grouper gone from the tank, looking behind, there it was along with the dried up body of the 3rd peppermint shrimp.
Needless to say, it was a bad experience all the way around since the idea was to remove the $60 grouper to take back to a LFS for credit after the job was done.

Nate, I must be one of the few people who still do not own a digital camera and if I did would not know how to post pics-but since I love looking at everyone elses pictures-erally need to do some of my own.
The peppermints bodies, excluding antenae, legs etc. are at least 2 inches. and really fat! They looked big enough to dip in coctail sauce!
