Foxface+reef= ?

Well i have a foxface right now and I want my 55 gallon to be a reef tank soon. Are foxfaces ok for reefs? I have no idea on them. Well thanks.

This site lists it as coral safe but i have heard they sometimes nip on corals. I guess its hit or miss. I would watch him and see what he does.

I have a focface in my reef right now. I heard that you just have to keep them well feed so they don't nip, but thats just mine.

foxfaces are always safe IMO
ive have never seen or heard of a foxface not reef safe

im more worried about a foxface and blue hippo in a 55 gallon tank..other than that they are fine in a reef

Mine has never touched a coral. I've heard of other instances were they have.

it may eat some hard and soft polyps, but they are mostly vegetarian in diet. I agree that if they are well fed they will be less inclined to nip and your corals, but as with any possible nippers attempt with caution, with foxface it prettty much depends on thwe individual fish and how well its fed.
