I think you should get one. Mine is very friendly and will eat out of my hand.
The only time I don't like putting my hands in the tank is after the lights go out - the Foxface goes into protection mode (spines out) and if he's startled, he'll swim very erratically all over the tank.

Now that brings up another scenerio.....the magnificent is absolutely gourgeous. Since this will be your "trophy" fish, why not go with the magnificent? Awesome colors, and same attitude, and feeding as the regular foxface.

I love my foxface!! I have a plain yellow one; he adds a nice splash of color to the tank. I love the magnificent foxface too. I would have gotten one of those if they weren't so pricey!! Great fish! I was worried about getting stung too, but he really doesn't get near me when I am working in the tank. The lionfish is another story...lol

Congrats on the new fish.
We have one and he is the biggest baby of the tank. My hermits move to fast and he runs to his hidey hole and shakes lol. I always thought they were agressive little guys until I did more research and found out that they aren't so my oldest son wanted one and he is great we love him. I like to watch him change color and dance with his fins up at the hermits lol.
I guess he is showing them hes boss until they move then he runs.
...We call him Bob..for big ole baby
