Frag smelling bad

I just got a frag from a fellow trader and the thing smells soooooooooo bad. I mean bad. It's a bunch of gsp's. The mat is purple still but I don't know. Is this thing dead. How do I tell? I know it takes a while to get the polups to come out so how do I tell now? I have it in a 5 gallon bucket at the moment.

Unfortunatley I can't cause my camera is dead and my sidekick is getting fixed for the 5th time. So no camera phone either.
