Im starting a frag tank im goin to make a thread of my progress since i didnt do it with my first tank.
im going to buy the tank tomorrow maybe a 48'' tank it is going in my room so yea here i go any help will b good and any ideas i will take in mind and any advice.

If I were you and I was making it a frag tank I would get a breeder tank. This means that it is a wider tank and not as tall so it would give you more surface area and let you give more light to more corals. Also if you want sps or lps you should definently get metal halides. For optimal coral growth you want a lower kelvin rating on the bulbs so something like 6500k or 10000k. For optimal color you want a high kelvin rating so that means 20000k would be the best. Also I would go bare bottom. The last thing is if you decide to get halides you should probably invest in a chiller. I would also say a protein skimmer is a must. Well sorry for the long read and I hope this helps.
