frag?

i just bought a small frag, and i want to know what kind of light/ requirments i need, and how fast will they grow?

Welcome to the site...as others have said, you will really need to give us more details on what you actually bought.. I *think* that it might be a kenya tree coral that you bought... google it and see if it looks like that... but the best thing to do would be to post a pic...

The lighting isn't strong enough from the info you gave me. These specific corals really like to be in an area with high flow...

"green tree coral" is by NO means enough data for any of us to give you more info on. Is it an SPS, LPS, NPS, softie, shroom, etc?? . A picture would be worth 1000 words here - but 40 watts of light over a 55g tank is basiclly nothing - I would hope your green tree coral is an NPS (non-photo species) item - otherwise, you havn't enough light to keep anything coral wise.

I agree with you... I assumed it was Nephthea sp. But I really should of made sure of that.. but regardless, I gave tips for any coral. But I did mention that there is not nearly enough lighting.
