I want to frag a few of these suckers for my nano. I wan't to be sure were to make the cut at though. Can I cut it at the base and superglue it to a piece of rock rubble and place back into the tank? I think if there is a small piece of stalk left on with the colony a new one will grow back or no? And, if they are getting to out of control, what can I do to cut and not have one grow back? Thanks..you're the man!

These look like zoas (picture is a bit blurry) not palys. The zoas will have a matt which , if you can get under then edge, you can peel them away and cut betwwen the stalks where you desire to seperate them. Do not cut into the stalks as the ones that are cut will likely not survive. Once you've seperated the piece you want to re-locate just put some super glue gel on the bottom and stick it (pat dry both surfaces)

It is dificult to see the matt without removing the rock from the tank. If in fact it is a zoas and the matt must be peeled back how difficult is it? This is my first time attempting to frag my corals. I wan't to really fill out my tank as well as have the opportunity to trade with my buddy up at his store (coral corner).
Here is a picture from another angle (please excuse my camera/photo taking skills).
