Fragging a Toadstool

My Toadstool has gotten pretty large, and I was thinking about fragging it soon. Should I split it into 4 pieces, like a 4 slice pizza from top to bottom, then epoxy the bases to different rocks? Does special care need to be taken for the to recupirate?
Can I just slice 1 piece off my original and do the same? Anyone with experience please post a reply. Thanks.
Don.

I did just that. I sliced off the entire top and then cut it up like a pizza. I got about 14 or so frags the last time I did that. A new top will start to form on the original leather after a few days.
As far as the frags.. I just used a small piece of lace rock for each and a rubberband. They attached after about a week.
No special care was needed for this coral.

Chop it up. I Cut these all the time and glue them with gel super glue and ruber band it with a net material for a week. Reef dip them after fragging for 10 min to help them heal

Sounds like a routine operation, what do you mean by "10 min dip"? Are these a light loving coral, as I would most likely place the frags in my basement tank where I have 200+ #'s of LR in a 75 to recoup.

It is an iodine solution. After you cut the toadstool and secure the pieces onto rocks, you soak it in a reef dip solution for 10 min or so. This helps the leather build up its slime coat to heal.
It is a real easy thing to do and they are real hardy. It is a lower light coral but it does like a lot if you can give it.

I get the idea, now about the solution, is there a formula? How much Iodine in how much water? If I have a 4" diameter Toadstool head, I could cut it into X many pieces, and leave the stalk for it to grow back?
