Fragging Mushrooms?

I have a couple of mushroom rocks that have outgrown my tank and i am looking to frag them from the rocks that they are on. I am looking for the easiest or best way to do this. They seem to have very long and thick stalks to them.I was thinking that i can just cut them off at the bottom of there stalk and them super glue them to some rock pieces.I this the best way to do this or is there a better way. I have like 10 or so to frag off.

after fragging, what is the rule on lighting? do you place them back in the tank with lights going or leave it off for a while??

put them in a tank with regular lighting scedual.
