Fragging Polyps

So dumb question I know but I have never done this before. I need to trim up the rock of brown polyps I have. Do I just take scissors and cut them at the tip by the end of the rock to frag them? I just want to trim up the rock and will be trading local the polyps I take off.

you want to try to get alittle bit of the rock under the polyp. do not cut the actual polyp itself, this will damage the coral, plus leach chems into the water columne.....again try to get alittle of the rock under the foot.

chisel is the answer not much force should be require you wanna take a thin layer if rock off with the polyps..
