Fragging Torch Coral

Hello all. I have never fragged anything before. I was wondering if I could cut this Torch into 3 pieces. I would make the cuts in the areas I have marked in red. Any and all tips/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

use a dremel with a diamond blade, a wet tile saw, rotozip with diamond blade, or at least somehting that is SUPER SHARP adn can make a clean cut without cracking or chipping the skeleton (usually a power saw of some kind with a SUPER SHARP BLADE, brand new blade too). Cut at least an inch, preferably more, below where there is any flesh, good luck, and post pics. before and afters are great to have for yourself if noone else.

Thanks Reefer. Could I consider using a high quality (new) Fine tooth hack saw blade and cut by hand?

P.S.
Should I plug the bottom of the cut skeleton with putty etc.?

I never have. i dont know if it would help or hurt.

You can also use a pair of cutters. I would think that the hack saw may not give you the cut you want. It may break before you actually get through the cut.

use some good bone cutters and you will be fine...boston aquafarms has the best ones with the curved tips

with the hack saw blade if you score all the way around the outside before starting the actual cut you reduce the chance of splintering, crushing as asscociated with bone cutters. bone cutters are better suited for SPS that have solid skeletons as opposed to the more airy LPS skeletons.

DId you frag it? how did it go?

Not yet. I'm concerned about why new purple mushrooms aren't doing well in my 24 gal. which is where a smaller piece of it was going. posted on this board "mushrooms shrinking"
