It time to frag my kenya tree. Do I just cut off a branch or two or do I cut off part of the base with it. I then plan to sew it to a piece of rock till it bonds.. Do I use white thread or clear fishing line?

just cut off any branch, you dont need to try and get the base. of the two I would use fishing line. I generally just set a rock on the base of it they usually attach in a day or two.

Instead of using thread, I would suggest using superglue gel to glue it down to a piece of live rock rubble or to a plug. I frag my kenya tree this way about once a month and it works great every time.
I know that the thread method works fine, but for some reason, I always see this as adding extra stress to the already frshly-cut stressed frag. That's just my .02 though.
No one method is better than the other. Hope that this helps!
