I have had my powder blue tang for about two months now and he was doing great even last night eating great and everything. then all of a sudden he just freaked out jumping out of the water darting across the tank and then turning up side down and then laying flat on the bottom. He would then seem to be ok then do it again. I had to go to work at lunch i found him laying flat under a rock I tried to put him in the QT tank but he did not make it .........Any sugestions all other fish are fine all water is perfect?????:notsure:  :nope: :nope:

The tank is 48" long 90 gal and no I dont have a grounding rod I have heard differing opions on using one. Would it effect other fish is there was a problem? One thing I forgot to mention was I was in the prosses of raising the SG in the tank But only went up around two or three 10ths in a 12 hour period.

4' is long enough to keep a PB short term so that's not it. Current through the tank will affect all fish but it will affect Tangs a lot more and a lot faster.

I use a bicycle spoke (titanium) connected to wire, grounded to the outlet ground.
Grounding probes are available at some stores though.
