FREE lionfish

I purchased a tank that came with a lionfish and a grouper. The grouper eats fine but the lionfish will not touch anything I feed it. I have tried live damsels, ghost shrimp, and peppermint shrimp as well. Fish is healthy, swims normal and tank parameters are accurate. I have contacted the previous owner regarding the fish. When I went to pickup the tank, he had assured me the fish was eating just fine. I contacted him a few days later regarding the fish and he has not responded. I told him I wasn't mad about the fish, I just wanted to find out if he knew anything that might have happened to the fish or if it was acting different so that I could have an idea as to what to do. I never heard back from him.
Anyways, I don't want the fish to die. If you are near or around the bay area, san jose, ca. and think you can help it please contact me.

He may just be a little stressed from the move. I have heard of lions going a while without eating too. So you're best bet to keep him alive is to keep trying and he'll eventually come around. If you move him again he will just get stressed even more. I'll post again later today.

I saw that tank on SF bay area Craigslist..
Sorry don't know much about lion fish.. If it looks healthy, just give him some time. You can google it as well.

Get some live food. I used to give my dwarf ghost shrimp and guppies. Then I got him eating frozen.

I had one years ago that would only eat live guppies. I tried to train it to eat frozen food, but it was too old, big, and set in his ways.
Throw a few live guppies in there, maybe...
