I have a sea bay clown who shows sign of disease. she has white cottony patches over her and enlarge eyes. I want to do a fresh water bath but HOW LONG TO LEAVE HER IN THERE?

if u choose to go that with a fresh water dip make sure it is very short. about 2 min. make sure not to forget about him in there. my buddy did and his blue hippo tang died.

IMO freshwater baths are stressful on the fish and seldom effective. there are usually mroe effectuive less stressfull ways to treat fish.

I agree. try using hypo salinity. or a quarintine tank would be the best way to go.

try asking in the diease forum, you may get more edugated answers on disease cures over their, fortunatly I havent had to battle many dieases so I am not really familiar with the best or most effective treatments for a lot of things, I do know freshwater dips are very stressfull for the fish.

reefkprz is right - you need to bring this to the disease forum for advice. The "cures" you have tried so far will be ineffective since it sounds like your fish has a bacterial infection, and neither hypo nor freshwater dips will help. When you post, save time by giving all of your water parameters - amm, nitrites, nitrates, temp, sg, alk.
