now here's a good freshwater one.
do a yahoo search for "freshwater fish discussion board". that's how i found this place.

The concepts are similiar: lighting, water filtration, heating, refugium, sump, and other various equipment. The differences are the salt, the organisms that host in that water, and the type of items you buy (plant bulbs vs actinic, etc, etc). Most people think that freshwater is easier, and as my friend looks more into it. He says the quality of water for several species of rays have to be just as clean as saltwater. I am not knocking fw because he may raise some gamefish. If the get to big time time for a fish fry. Oh he plans on about a 300 gallon wall tank. Hope to take so photos of the process. Since he will be building it all himself from the tank right down to the skimmer. Should be fun.
But there is not a freshwater site as good as this one is for saltwater.
