Im interseted in it, i know there are a couple species that can survive in saltwater. If you know of one, let me know. Also if you know of any saltwater fish that can be acclimated to survive frshwater, post that up too.

No i dont plan on doing this, its just something that peaked my interest and i would like to know more about. I tried searching for a brackish forum but didn't find much that helped me out any.

Mollies do well if acclimated slowly to the salt water, they should always be in brackish water anyway. But I have noticed mollies seem to get bigger in salt water.. its probably all that frozen shrimp and seaweed sheets instead of processed freshwater foods that are 30% grain.

lol not to call anybody out but what caught my attention was reading about a nano cube that had a freshwater guppy in it. and it just struck me as strange that they can adapt to live in such a different enviroment.

I had my sumo under my 40 gallon FW guppy tank and some of the adults jump shipped and ended up in the sump when I noticed there were babies everywhere in the sump they continued to live there till I broke down the tank.
Most of the fish that were listed other than the mollies and guppies are basically brackish water fish and natural live at 1/2 the salt level on average of SW fish do. so they can all be converted to FW
as far as SW to FW no there are a few that go into FW to spawn but most can not handle the slainity change for long and some cant at all.
A while back right after nemo came out people were coverting clowns to FW they lived but only short term.

LOl yeah figure 8's are "both-able"
since they live in brackish water they can be coverted to FW or SW rather easily.

Any brackish fish can be converted into saltwater, unless there is a breed that I am not thinking of, because they spend a portion of their lives in saltwater. Acclimate them slowly, a month is good, in a separate tank.
