OK, so it's Friday and I'm shooting pictures of my fish. I guess I need a girlfriend... :) Here's few new shots. I would love to talk to somebody who has some knowledge of digital SLR's. I've got a Canon Digital Rebel and really want to learn manual settings. Anyone?

Love the Brown. He's has the most personality of the tank. The tank is too small for him. He'll be moving into a 150 or 180 later this summer when I buy a house. He eats right out of my hand, swims that tank like mad, and just loves being himself I guess. He OWNS the tank. New fish are treated to a serious fragging by this guy. It only lasts for a day or so, then, once the new guy knows his place, he's cool. Great fish. Love him.

Alec,
I too bought the Canon Digital Rebel. I use a tripod when shooting m tank. You can set it to a raw format (7.1 Mega pix) and take some great tight shots. Then use the software like adobee to really crop in and get some nice close ups. I love the fact that even the small settings produce a really nice 11 x 17 print.
You should do a search for canon classes. I sat down with a digital camera photographer and he showed me alot of the camera's abilities. It took all about 10 minutes for me to forget most though.
Good luck. I have been experimenting with shooting a still subject and adjusting each setting. Then finding my own...thing.
Have fun. Great shots.

Very nice pics! I want a Powder brown but I think he would fight with my Yellow tang.
It would be war. Not sure how my Hippo survived. But for some reason it wasn't bad. Now they're like brothers. Go figure. The brown does OWN the tank however. Everyone has their place.
