frog spawn closed

I am having a problem with my frog spawn not opening. My ph is 8.2 salinaty .025 no2 0 amon. 0 no3 is .25 but working on lowering it. It was open the first 3 days now totaly closed. it is under 400 watt halides and 440 watt supper attinic vho with moderate flow. Any ideas?

its new i take it? what lighting was it under ath the LFS? it could be burning under those lights. The amonia isnt helping, but im guessing it is not acclimated to your lights.

my book says 2-10 lighting and l-m flow. also I aclimated it to the light daily for a week. I have had him for 2 weeks now. slowly increasing the amount of light daily.

All I can tell you is my personal experience.
Mine liked to be placed low in my tank under my VHOs and it only opened fully when I made sure almost no flow was hitting it. Just enough to gently make it BARELY sway. Giving it more flow or placing it higher in the tank (more light) made it close up.

I just got a frag of 3 heads of frogspawn put it in the center of my tank relatively low and have 12k PC's and its the size of my palm now in less than a weeks time....It has low to medium flow on it as well since i cant really change the position of my powerheads cause everything else loves the flow....
