Frogspan and Bubble Coral

I purchased a green frogspan and bubble coral yesterday. They still haven't opened up like they were at the LFS. How long does it take them to get used to the new water? The bubble is toward the top of my 125 and the frogspan is in the middle. Should I change locations? I have 250W hqi 13K and 2 140 actinic VHO's.

Either one will adjust to the lighting. I've had mine under vho only, and under 400watt MH. THe bubble will tend to open up more under less intense light. Its hard to say when they will start opening up for you. I've seen it take a couple of days, to immediate. I would think it would be soon if your water parameters are OK

Thanks Claw,
My calcium is at 420, temp at 80, ammo 0, nitrites and nitrate 0. just did a 20% water change before adding the corals. I also didn't touch them very much either.
Should I move the bubble lower in the tank?

I would start them low in the tank. Starting them high can cause problems if they aren't used to the amount of light you are giving them.

I have a quick question. I am getting a 220W setup on my 55 Gallon. Could I keep a Bubble coral at the top of my tank?

I have 260 watts Power Compacts in my tank and my bubble coral is doing its best near the top of the tank. It opens up Beautifully, although I moved it toward the middle of the tank and it has shrunk alot.

BTW Scoob, if those coral were under weak VHO's like some LFS's do, they were open huge because they weren't getting enough light. So don't be concerned if they aren't getting real big for ya, just make sure they open at all and don't lose color.
